Meet the Doctors

  • Dr. Dehpanah

Dr. Dehpanah received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California, at Irvine.  In 1999, he earned his General Dentistry Degree (DMD) from Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine (BUGSDM). In 2001, he completed an additional two-year post-graduate training fellowship in Pediatric Dentistry with rotations at Franciscan Children Hospital for Children and Boston Medical Center. He then pursued an additional one-year advanced training fellowship with an emphasis in cosmetic and restorative dentistry which lead to a full time clinical and academic faculty position at Boston University in 2002.

In 2005, he settled in North Andover with one of his mentors, Dr. William Bourassa.  In 2007, Drs Dehpanah, Gharib & Associates was established following Dr. Bourassa's retirement and later in 2015 due to the continued patient loyalty, North Andover Pediatric and Family Dentistry was formed to better reflect the patient population and scope of our services.

After 15+ years of being a full time faculty at Boston University (Go Terriers), in 2018 he stepped down from his position to be more involved in his community and growing private practice.  In his office, unlike most pediatric dentists he believes in a non-sedative approach and practices focusing on behavior management.  Dr. Dehpanah states: “my early exposure to the late Dean Spencer N. Frankl’s approach towards his patients crystalized the importance of human psychology and child development in a successful non-sedative treatment approach in a non-hospital setting.”

Dr. Dehpanah is an active member of the American Dental Society, Massachusetts Dental Society, Massachusetts Associates of Pediatric Dentistry, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and the Merrimack Valley Dental Society.

Dr. Dehpanah enjoys outdoor activities and spending every little time he gets with his wife, son, and two energetic labradors, Rockie and Lexie.

  • Dr.
    Gharib

Dr. Gharib graduated from Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine in 2004. She pursued a fellowship in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery in 2005 leading to a part-time faculty position in the Oral Surgery Department and the faculty practice at Boston University.

While maintaining her academic position for 12 years she continued to expand the adult part of the practice as a result of the growing number of our patients’ loyalty during and after their college years. Soon after many other families with children joined her practice, we became North Andover Pediatric and Family Dentistry.

She was always an artist in heart, she enjoyed drawing portraits from a very young age often changing lines and smoothing forms to make it look better, from there the love for creating beautiful smiles formed.

Dentistry happened to be what brought the artist and the scientist in her together!

Today she is completely devoted to the local community and is providing clinical care to her patients across Merrimack Valley and North Shore area on a full-time basis.

Her motto: “Be the reason someone smiles today” and every day.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, son and two goofy Labradors Rockie and Lexie, going to art shows, photography, and travel.
